Pneumatic Drop in Kit (PDIK)
This replacement V2 gearbox drop in kit allows the user to convert their AEG into a gas powered rifle. This is a cost effective method for upgrading any V2 or V2 long gearbox.
The PDIK is currently only designed for replicas with “V2” and “V2-Long” gearboxes. This kit is also modular which means an adaptor is all that is required to change the V2 to a V2 long setup. This conversion kit was developed with the aim of sniper rifles – where is the need for long range and precision shot.
The PDIK Mechanics:
The PDIK has an independently movable nozzle as in the AEG gearbox. The Nozzle is not directly linked to the location of the gas supply element. This setup means that the nozzle is stationary in the HOP chamber behind the BB when the shot is released and thus leads to a more accurate shot as the fps will remain constant from one shot to the next.
This arrangement should produce less wear on the hop unit and HOP rubber.
The PDIK has semi-auto capability only. This kit is designed to be used in a Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR). Since it is possible here to get quite high FPS from this kit, full-auto capability is not enabled.
When using the appropriate regulator, it is possible to obtain a very stable, high fps. Power is adjusted by the regulator. Operational pressure is in the range 5-18bar.
