Kelmarsh Country Show – Clay Shooting

Countryman Fairs announces ground-breaking new format for Clay Shooting Festival

In response to visitor feedback, Countryman Fairs has completely reformatted its Clay Shooting Festival for 2016. Kicking off at next month’s Kelmarsh Country Show, which is being held at Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire, the all-new format will be rolled out at all seven of its regional events.

The free-to-enter Clay Shooting Festival will now offer competitors free car parking that is completely separate to the main Country Show meaning there’s no longer a need to buy a ticket if you’re just visiting to compete.

This year’s line-up includes Countryman Fairs’ flagship individual 60-bird Sporting competition. Held over six stands, the Overall High Gun will not only take home an improved prize fund of £500 cash and a brand new Armsan shotgun worth £400, but also earn a place in the Midland Game Fair’s Champion of Champions in September. Plus for every two entries, competitors will be given a free ticket worth £15 to enter the main Country Show.

The Clay Shooting Festival schedule also includes a fast and furious Pool Shoot where competitors can compete on 15 targets, with 30% payback on entries paid twice each day. For those who fancy breaking clays with an instructor by their side, the BASC have-a-go section will appeal. Visitors can have a 30-minute shooting lesson which will include eye dominance tests, stance and gun-fit. And finally, The Browning Experience will give visitors the opportunity to shoot the new range of Browning B725 shotguns under the guidance of BASC instructors.
